Visconti Copernicus Green Limited Edition Fountain Pen
The Visconti Copernicus series was released in 1996 and it is dedicated to the Renaissance polymath, mathematician, and astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.
It is a limited edition of 999 numbered fountain pens, executed in green stacked celluloid.
The Copernicus fountain pens feature a nib made of 18kt solid gold, and a peculiar variation of the sack-filling systems with which Visconti experimented in a few models, the crescent filling system.
To fill the fountain pen the user must rotate the ring visible on the barrel, which releases the crescent, and then press the crescent thus compressing the sack. This system operates in a manner similar to the button fillers and the lever fillers, but has a more solid construction, thus eliminating any chances of lever failure.
The sacks of the Copernicus fountain pens that we have in stock were replaced by Visconti in 2021.
The Copernicus fountain pens measure 13.8cm capped, have gold coated details, and come in a dedicated luxury giftbox.
