This is a vintage pre-Souveran Pelikan fountain pen that dates to the mid-1950s after 1954, and has been restored to a fine operational condition.
It is made of cotton-based resin, has a black cap and knob, and Pelikan's classic green stripes. It has a piston filling system, and a nib made of 14kt gold.
The pen we are listing here is preowned and used, it shows signs of wear matching its age, but is in a perfectly operational condition.
The piston operates seemlessly, the nib has been polished and aligned, and overall the pen is in an excellent working condition.
The Pelikan 140 measures 12.4cm closed, much similar to the size of the modern M200 - despite its different shape.
Comes in a Pelikan gift box that is not period correct.
