Preowned Pelikan 400 Tortoiseshell Brown Fountain Pen 1950s

This is a vintage pre-Souveran Pelikan fountain pen that dates to the late 1950s - early 1960s, and has been fully restored to a like-new condition.

It is made of cotton-based resin, has a dark brown cap and knob, Pelikan's infamous Tortoiseshell Brown stripes. It has a piston filling system, and a nib made of 14kt gold.

The pen we are listing here is preowned and used but has been fully restored to a like-new condition.

The piston operates seemlessly, the nib has been polished and aligned, and overall the pen is in an excellent working condition.

The Pelikan 400 measures 13.2cm closed, much similar to the size of the modern M600.

Comes in a Pelikan gift box that is not period correct.
