Visconti Versailles Limited Edition Fountain Pen

The Versailles is a limited edition fountain pen released by Visconti around the year 1999 in 365 numbered fountain pens.

The Versailles is developed on the base of the Visconti Voyager using a blue perlescent acryloid resin decorated with an elaborate sterling silver filigree. The decoration of the pen is inspired by the grandeur and opulence of the French court at Versailles. Two cabochon sapphires adorn the clip, and one the cap top.

The pen has a two-tone 18kt gold nib, and uses a captive converter filling system. It comes in a luxury gift box dedicated to the Versailles limited edition.

The Visconti Versailles is a true work of art that will satisfy every collector. 

At the time of its release Visconti released a complementary edition, the Cardinal Richelieu. The Cardinal Richelieu pen was much similar to the Versailles, but done in burgundy acryloid resin instead. The two pens were meant to represent the two sides of the French court, the grandeur of the Monarchy, and the power of the Clergy.
