Nebulae, also known as "star smoke" are beautiful clouds of gas and dust in the universe. Most nebulae are formed when gas and dust collect and gravitationally converge during the birth of a star.

The Iris Nebula is a reflection nebula, in the constellation Cepheus, a cold interstellar cloud of dust and gas that does not emit light itself but reflects light from nearby stars.

The Iris Nebula is about 6 light years across, and is named "Iris Nebula" because it looks like a flower blooming in space.

Sailor celebrates this beautiful galactic cloud with a limited edition made of high quality PMMA resin in two tones of galactic blue. The edges of the cap and the barrel are made of a fully transparent resin, while the main parts are made in tones of blue color with silver metashine. All metal parts, including the 21kt gold nib, are rhodium coated.
