The most beautiful sailing vessel in the world, the training vessel of the Italian navy called Amerigo Vespucci is celebrated with this unique limited edition fountain pen.

The characteristic vessel, with a hull bearing black and white horizontal stripes, the three impossing masts, and the massive sails celebrated the 70th anniversary of its launching in 2001, and Montegrappa paid tribute with an outstanding limited edition of 1931 numbered fountain pens.

The fountain pens feature a unique cap with stripes made of black and white celluloid, and extensive decoration on the silver parts. The barrel has a low-relief engraving of the vessel, along with waves, a unique clip was developed for the edition honoring one of the greatest admirals and explorers of all times, while the cap-top bears the insignia of the Italian Navy.

A large nib made of 18kt solid gold with unique decoration sets this pen apart from the herd. An ebonite feeder, and an intergrated piston filling system complete this exceptional writing instrument.
