Stipula Giovanni da Verrazzano Limited Edition Fountain Pen
Produced by Stipula around the year 2000, the Limited Edition fountain pen Giovanni da Verrazzano is a unique writing instrument produced in only 1524 numbered pieces.
This pen was produced as a tribute to the great Italian navigator and explorer who is credited with landings on the Northern United States in the early 16th century, among those sites is also the modern location of the city of New York.
The Giovanni da Verrazzano fountain pen is made in an intricate deep blue celluloid that reflects the color of the oceans traversed by the Italian explorer's caravel. The metal details of the pen like the clip are all in bright finish. On the top of the cap a glowing crystal is placed to symbolise the polar star, the most ancient friend of all navigators.
The nib of the fountain pen is retractable (safety) and it is made of 18kt bi-color gold. The filling system is an integrated piston, and the short cap of this pen posts securely by a screw-in system on the back of the pen.
