Waterman Expert Dune CT Marbled Blue Lacquer Fountain Pen

The Expert II line was introduced in the late 1990s and differs from the Expert I model in the materials from which they are made of since this model is made of brass instead of plastic as well as some modifications in the cap band with the whole company name instead of just the W company logo. There are many variations of the model and the marbled finishes got their new look around 2002-2003 when three new Dune finishes were presented: Dune Blue CT, Dune Green CT, and Dune Red GT.
Listed here is a stunning and rare Waterman EXPERT II pen made in France with a Dune marble lacquer finish which with its dramatic deep blue hues reminds of the semi-precious lapis lazuli stone. This elegant look is complemented with the famous Waterman clip with a slit design and the beveled top with a shiny mirror-like insert. This is a stunning pen with great shine and appeal made from high-quality materials making any pen lover an expert in fountain pen writing. All trimmings are thick chrome plated; clip, rings, the front and rear tip of the pen giving it a luxury appeal. The lacquer finish is also very thick and scratch protective.
The cap is decorated with a double band that features inscriptions that read “ Waterman Paris” and “ France”, written over the black lacquer.

The pen features a slip-on cap for fast and easy deployment, with a distinct click sound when closing or posting the cap. The pen is almost oversize when being closed at 143mm and 155mm when being posted. It feels heavy, firmly fitting in the hand, and the weight makes it slide over the paper effortlessly. The substantial weight of the pen is due to the very thick steel/ brass walls of the pen, really well built and made to last.

The pen can be used with standard or double size Waterman cartridges or with a converter if the user wants to fill the pen from an ink bottle.
