This is a modern fountain pen, with streamlined lines that also features the best of Sailor's writing technology, developed with over 100 years of experience.

The barrel and cap of the fountain pen are made of ebonite, while its grip is made of high quality PMMA resin. The Sailor King of Pen Ebonite Gold features a gold coated clip and a matching decorative ring. 

Ebonite, a naturally occurring resin, is soft and warm to the touch providing the ultimate comfort in the writing experience.

Naginata-Togi Nib
This fountain pen is equipped with Sailor's Naginata-Togi Nib. 

The Naginata-Togi nib is specially designed with a larger pen point with a longer stroke that provides ultimate smoothness.

The Naginata-Togi nib combines two unique characteristics:

• It provides broader strokes on the horizontal and finer strokes on the vertical.
• It offers varying line width depending on the angle at which the nib meets the paper, with finer lines at a vertical meeting point, and broader lines as the pen inclines toward the paper.

Further, the Naginata nib provides writing line widths much broader than what would normally be expected. This is a very fine and smooth nib that can be used without applying pen pressure.
