Each of Visconti's Van Gogh pens is a unique composition with colors that are drawn by the famous impressionist's paintings, but always vary in their depth and pattern on each writing instrument. This is a result of how resins are mixed to become the rods from which Visconti Van Gogh's writing instruments will be created.

When the Visconti Van Gogh collection was originally introduced, the pens were developed on a torpedo-styled body like the Mini White. The barrels of the contemporary collection that have 18 facets were first introduced in 2011.

The Visconti Van Gogh White Mini is a pocket-sized pen made of brownish-red vegetal resin. It has a stainless steel nib, a cartridge filling system, and Visconti's practical spring clip.
