The Seastar has been a staple of the collection since the 1970s and is one of the most popular diving watches in the market. The Professional 2000 is named after its waterproof character, as the name 2000 reflects the 2000 feet depth that the watch is rated for (60 atmospheres or 600 meters), while the title "Professional" refers to its official divers' certification.

The Seastar 2000 Professional Powermatic 80 is made of stainless steel, and has a unidirectional rotating bezel made of high tech ceramic, for under-water time keeping. Its indices and hour markers are coated with Superluminova, and it has an antireflective sapphire crystal, and a Swiss made mechanical automatic movement, the Powermatic 80, which delivers up to 80 hours of power reserve.
