The Seastar has been a staple of the collection since the 1970s and is one of the most popular diving watches in the market. Naturally, the collection is named after its waterproof character, as the name 1000 reflects the 1000 feet depth that the watch is rated for (30 atmospheres or 300 meters).

The Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 is made of stainless steel, and has a unidirectional rotating bezel for under-water time keeping. Its indices and hour markers are coated with Superluminova, and it has an antireflective sapphire crystal.

The case houses the mechanical automatic movement Powermatic 80 that offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours, exceeding by a lot the standard 40 hours that most movements offer.
