A limited edition released in 2001 celebrating the 240th anniversary of Faber Castell, a beautiful writing instrument that predates the Pen of the Year series. The 1761 - 2001 Anniversary Edition had a total production of 1761 fountain pen, matching the year in which Caspar Faber started manufacturing pencils for the first time.

The fountain pen listed here is preowned and used. It shows marks of use on its parts, mostly scratches on its metallic parts, but is in perfetc working condition and comes with the special packing developed for this edition.

High aesthetic demands and excellent technology lead to unique products. The limited edition 1761 - 2001 is a masterpiece in the magnum size that was rather unusual at the time of its release. Three diamonds of fine quality (G-H color, VS2 purity) adorn the cap, paying tribute to the third millennium. These pens feature stainless steel metallic parts, a massive clip, and barrels made of 240-year old olive wood. They have nibs made of 18kt gold, and a cartridge/converter filling system.
