Visconti La Comedia Divina Gold Limited Edition Fountain Pen

The Visconti Comedia Divina Gold is arguably one of the greatest fountain pens produced by Visconti to this day.

This edition is executed in the finest materials, vintage celluloid, and 18kt solid gold, and pays tribute to the Divine Comedy, the great work of master poet Dante Alighieri.

The barrel is focused on the poet's descent into Hell and the Purgatory, while the cap turns on his ascent onto heaven. On the barrel, we see the punishment of the sinners as described in Dante's work, while the cap features delicate ornamentation and is dominated by the clip, shaped in this occasion as a winged angel.

The whole mural is executed by hand, in the traditional scrimshaw technique.

The Comedia Divina Gold Fountain Pen was a limited edition of only 88 numbered fountain pens, introduced in 2005.

The fountain pens feature a nib made of 18kt solid gold and Visconti's double reservoir power-filling system. Each one of the pens comes in a luxurious gift box specially developed for this edition.
