The Brunelleschi is a limited edition fountain pen released in 2017, in a very limited quantity of only 388 numbered fountain pens. The pen pays tribute to the great Renaissance architect, sculptor, and artist Filippo Brunelleschi, and is one of the masterpiece's of Visconti's creativity.

The most outstanding feature of the pen, is the specially developed, Terracotta based resin out of which the barrel and cap of the pen are made. The resin, developed specifically for this edition, was inspired by the material used extensively in Renaissance architecture, and matches perfectly the theme of the pen, but also links the edition to the spirit of Visconti as displayed also by the lava-based resin used for the Homo Sapiens editions.

The terracotta resin gives the pen a unique tactile sense. The pen is cold, has significant weight, and has a more rigid feeling than other resins.

The metal parts of the pen, are made of bronze and perfectly complement the earthly looks of the barrel and cap.

The fountain pen has a palladium nib, uses Visconti's power filling system, and their hook-safe lock for the cap.

The shape of the pen is octahedral, and is inspired by the dome of Duomo in Florence.

This unique edition comes in a dedicated luxury gift box, along with a bottle of ink, and a piece of Terracotta.

Please note that the leatherette of the box has aged as often happens with boxes of this style, but the pen and all parts of the set are in perfect condition.
