Developed on the basis of the Pelikan M800 the Expo 2000 Humankind is part of a mini-series of three limited edition fountain pens dedicated to World Expo 2000, that also features the Nature, and the Technology pens.

The Expo 2000 Humankind was the first in this mini-series, and it was released in the year 1998, in a limited production of 1998 numbered fountain pens.

The Humankind features a burgundy red resin, and a gold-coated silver barrel that features an engraved DNA helix.

DNA, the genetic code is a symbol of equality and individuality. So simple yet so diverse, it is the subject of intensive research, but has not yet given up the secret of our existence.

The Pelikan Expo 2000 Humankind features all the standard characteristics of the Pelikan Souverän M800.

It has Pelikan's piston filling system, a screw-on cap, and an 18kt gold nib of the generation featuring the "pf" stamp.
