Developed on the M800 base, the Pelikan Golden Dynasty is a limited edition of 888 numbered fountain pens, released in 1995.

The Golden Dynasty is the first in a 5-pen series dedicated to Asian Mystical and Mythological Creatures. In addition to the Golden Dynasty depicting the Imperial Dragon, the series included the Golden Phoenix, the Kirin, the White Tiger, and the Xuan Wu Turtle, all five creatures of high symbolic meaning in Asian Cultures.

The Golden Dynasty combines black resin on the cap, knob, and grip of the fountain pen with an elaborate silver sleeve on the barrel. The barrel features exclusive Toledo work design developed exclusively for this edition featuring an image of the glorious Imperial Dragon.

The pen listed here is preowned but in exceptional condition. It comes with its wooden box and its guarantee booklet (stamped 1995), but the exterior box has been lost by the previous owner.

As all M800 pens, the Golden Dynasty has an 18kt solid gold nib, and uses a piston filling system. The fountain pen has a transparent window near the grip that allows the user to check remaining ink level.
