Visconti Van Gogh Flower Plum Orchard Rollerball Pen

Each of Visconti's Van Gogh pens is a completely unique composition with colors that are drawn by the homonymous painting, but always vary in their depth and pattern on each writing instrument. This is a result of the way in which resins are mixed to become the rods from which Visconti Van Gogh writing instruments will be created.

Flowering plum orchard is the second oil painting selected by Visconti from Van Gogh's Japanese series. The artist created this painting in 1887 inspired by a Japanese print by Hiroshige, entitled Plum Garden in Kameido.
The ancient plum tree that was the subject of the original print had the poetic nickname of "plum tree of the sleeping dragon" Van Gogh accurately reproduced the composition with more intense colors, replacing the black and gray of Hiroshige's trunk with red and blue tones He also added the two orange borders with Japanese characters for a more decorative and exotic effect.
The Visconti  Flowering plum orchard Rollerball pen is made with yellow gold-plated finishes that add light to the red, green and brown acrylic resin.

Vincent Van Gogh managed to push emotion to its extremes in every one of his brush stroke. Inspired by this artist’s unconventional vision, Visconti created a collection that is iconic.

Van Gogh’s use of colour is an intrinsic part of his art.

To honour the famous Dutch painter, Visconti reproduces the textures of oil painting on his canvases in pen form.

Van Gogh connects his most inner ‘I’ to the outside world through his paintbrush. His emotions are expressed through the strength of his colours, the impulsiveness of his lines and the choice of his subjects. Nature becomes a mirror that reflects emotions rather than landscapes.

The barrel and cap have 18 facets, a shape used for the first time in Visconti designs.

The 18 facets bring even more elegance and luminosity to the intense and deep shades of the Van Gogh pen.

All the metal parts of the pen are made in brass and then gold plated.

The pen’s box comes with a picture of the Van Gogh painting it is dedicated too.
