The Parker Duofold is one of the most classic and characteristic models of Parker.
The Duofolds first appeared in 1921, and have since been a staple of the Parker collection. Their hefty size (5.5 inches when capped) the cylindrical style with the flat top and bottom, and the special colors like the Mandarin Yellow set the Duofold appart, making it a model loved by everyone and copied by many.
The new range of Parker Duofolds was introduced in 1988 as part of the celebrations of Parker's 100th Anniversary. They are a top quality pen and retailed at the high end of the market.
The pen listed here is the Duofold Gold Coated Centennial and measures approximately 13.5cm when capped. It has cap and barrel with fluted sleeves made of gold coated silver, and edges made of black precious resin. An interesting contrast is provided by the gold coated decorative rings and the gold coated clip.
This fountain pen is equipped with an 18k gold nib and uses a cartridge/converter filling system.
