The Pelikan Souverän K425 Silver Aubergine has a cap made of sterling silver, and a barrel made of transparent deep red acrylic resin.

The K425 was released in 2005, and is part of a series that was available for a relatively short span of time. Although this series was not limited in any way, it is now fairly rare and highly sought after.

The K425 is based on the dimensions of the classic Pelikan Souverän K400 ballpoint, but has a twist-operated system, instead of the usual button that we see on the K400.
