During the 1970s Omega made several attempts to freshen up the looks of the Speedmaster Professional. The Mark IV was one of those attempts - the third in line - and it remains to this day a very modern case. Similar to the Mark II, the Mark IV offers a round dial housed in a tonneau case that adds some elegance on an othewise very sporty chronograph. 

The watch offered here is what has come to be known in the watch community as a Mark 4.5. A breed that has the case of the Mark IV series, but runs on the very reliable Omega 1045 caliber (based on the Lemania 5100), a movement that was officially introduced on the Mark V series. 

The Mark 4.5 is one of the most interesting Mark-era Speedmasters, although it doesn't even carry a "Mark" marking on its dial.

The watch listed here shows almost no signs of wear on all its parts, and is in an overall great condition.

The Omega 1045 movement in this watch keeps time with a variation of <10 sec per day.

The Speedmaster Professional Mark 4.5 has a case and bracelet made of stainless steel, and a mineral crystal. 

The movement indicates hours, minutes, seconds, day, and date, and has a day-night indication. It also features a chronograph function, with seconds and minutes set on the center, and a 12-hour totalizer at 6.
