Omas Ogiva 557 Burgundy fountain pen made of precious resin with gold coated metal parts.
A classic Omas fountain pen in the largest size of their ogival model, with screw-on cap, an integrated piston, and an 18kt gold nib in two-tone decoration.
The pen listed here is preowned but in excellent condition. It has hardly been used, and shows practically no wear on the nib, and only minor marks from storage on the surface of its barrel and cap. It comes in a period-correct Omas box.
The Omas Ogiva collection takes its name after its clean circular form.
The Omas Ogiva first appeared in the 1920s and was one of the first writing instruments to adopt the "torpedo" shape.
Ogiva pens stand out for their simple and elegant design.
