Visconti Viscontina Grey Celluloid Limited Edition Fountain Pen

The Viscontina is a very unique limited edition fountain pen collection released by Visconti in 2001.

This mini fountain pen, measuring only 11cm in length when capped, is made out of a deep grey celluloid that carries striking silver flashes, and has its clip and the decorative rings on its cap made of solid silver. 

The pen has a torpedo shape, and has a completely clean barrel that allows the user unobstructed views to the magnificent vintage celluloid. The subtle decoration, two silver ring and an engraving carrying the name and serial number of the limited edition is found on the cap.

The nib of the pen is made of 14kt gold, which -according to Visconti- fits the era of production of the celluloid, the 1930s.

Despite its small size, the Viscontina is equipped with an integrated piston with a syringe system. The reservoir of the filling system is made of stainless steel in order to guarantee perfect fit, seal, and durability, but in a subtle deco addition Visconti has opted to produce the piston out of the same celluloid used for the barrel and cap of the pen.

The Viscontina is one of the most subtly elegant mini-sized pens, and according to Visconti is was at the time of its release the first limited edition fountain pen in a mini size.

The Viscontina was limited to a total of 388 numbered pieces.

The pen listed here is new/unused from our stock and returned from a check-up with Visconti's craftsmen in November of 2022.
