The Pelikan M915 Hunting is one of the earliest limited editions of Pelikan, and a magnificent example of the German manufacturer's capabilities.
The model was introduced in 1994 and it was produced on the M800 base in only 3000 numbered pieces.
A deep green resin reminiscent of rich forests was used for the barrel and cap, while the ink window as well has a green tint. The dominant element of this pen though is the silver sleeve that has been lovingly etched to imagery that evokes the grandeur of nature.
The connoisseur will find particular pleasure in the pen's artistry, the image includes an impossing stag, held at bay by two hunting dogs. The picture is bordered by oak-leaves, and a masterful representation of pheasants, quails, a courting wood grouse, a fox slinking away and ducks taking wing.
This masterful etching is completed by hand and finished with green enamel.
The Pelikan Hunting has the conventional size of the M800 at 14.2cm when capped. It has a 2-tone 18kt gold nib bearing the standard imagery Pelikan during the era, and fills with Pelikan's standard piston.
The Pelikan Hunting comes in a luxurious gift box made of wood, that is dedicated to this limited edition.
