Montblanc's Writers Edition Homage to Homer was released in 2018, and is a limited edition of 10300 numbered ballpoint pens.

The ballpoint listed here is preowned but in excellent condition and comes along with a full set of box and papers.

Homer lived between the 9th century and 11th century BC and is known as the author of the Iliad and the Odyssey.

He is regarded the first and greatest of the epic poets.

The importance of Homer to the ancient Greeks is described in Plato's Republic, where he is referred to as the 'protos didaskalos' (first teacher), the 'hegemon paideias' (leader of learning), and the one who 'ten Hellada pepaideuken' (has taught Greece).

The engraving on cap ring is inspired by the dactylic hexameter (rhythmic scheme in poetry) and the pattern is inspired by an antique pottery.

The emblem is made of precious resin.

The clip and the design in the back are inspired by the spear of Achilles.

The overall design is inspired by the troyan horse from Iliad and the two Achilles’ Horses Ballius and Xanthus. The barrel is made of black precious resin. The Au750 gold-coated fittings are enriched with a special embossing. The cap top, cap ring, clip and forepart are decorated with a special engraving.
