The splendidly ornamented Patron of Art Edition Semiramis is dedicated to a legendary Patron of the Arts, the Queen of Assyria, Semiramis.

Montblanc Semiramis pays tribute to a woman of sensuous beauty whose patronage of the arts literally accomplished wonders.

One of the most beautiful and sensuous patrons of the arts, Semiramis, was the Babylonian Queen of Assuria whose political acumen unified these two lands into one of the most magnificent empires of the ancient world.

However, it was the arts where her ambition found its most lasting expression through the advancement of writing and architecture. Her benefaction of the cult of Nabu, patron god of the scribes, enabled her to use his influence in implementing building plans for fabulous palaces and monuments.

Among those constructed under her sponsorship are the second world wonder, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the awe-inspiring Ishtar Gate.

Today, many of the meticulously crafted architectural ornaments of these edifices still testify to the grand accomplishments of that age.
