The Aurora Mare Limited Edition collection, released in 1998, is dedicated to the power of the sea and the eternal attraction it has to man.

Hence, the intense blue auroloide body combined with the gold coated metallic parts, hence the detail of a seahorse engraved on the uppermost part of the pen's clip.

The collection includes 7500 numbered ballpoints and fountain pens, 5500 rollerball pens, and 2500 mechanical pencils.

The Aurora Mare edition is based on the Optima models, an elegant classic design that alludes to designs first introduced by Aurora in the 1930s.

The fountain pen has all the technical characteristics that make the Aurora Optima one of the most user-friendly pens on the market: the integrated piston, the very balanced size, the slit with the view at the ink tank, the ebonite feeder, and the larger size nib which in this model - as in most limited edition Aurora Pens - is made of solid 18kt yellow gold.
