The first stop of Aurora's Secret Journey to Italy is Matera. Known throughout the world for the famous Stones called Sassi, not everyone knows, that there is a large underground water tank in the city called “Palombaro Lungo”. This is the real secret of Matera, the large underground cistern that supplied the city with water and which was entirely carved by hand in the soft sedimentary rock, rich in fossil shells.

Each City is accompanied by its distintic music that will make you experience the atmosphere of the place, through a QR code inserted inside the precious box. Each Limited Edition is also enriched by a precious watercolored bookmark, which like a postcard remains in memory of the fabulous journey.

The collection Viaggio Segreto in Italia is executed on Aurora's classic 88 model. Aurora dedicates to each city a limited edition of only 888 numbered fountain pens.

Matera, the first entry in the Viaggio Segreto collection features a body made of turquoise and white Auroloide. The fountain pen has a nib made of rhodium-treated 18kt gold, an ebonite feeder, and uses Aurora's well tested piston filling system.

Just behind the fountain pen's section Aurora has left a slit with a view to the ink level.
