The Montblanc Artisan's Edition True Princess fountain pen is a rare edition that was released in the early 2000s as a part of the "Fairy Tale" collection.
Inspiration for the particular edition comes from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea”.
The fountain pen was developed on Montblanc's popular 144 size.
The barrel and cap are made of gold coated metal and have a satin finish. The whole pen has unique cushion-like form, onto which is set a cabochon cut natural peridot, reminiscent of the pea on which the princess lay in the fairy tale.
The top of the cap is decorated with Montblanc's emblematic star made of mother of pearl.
The fountain pen has a two-tone 18kt gold nib and a cartridge/converter filling system.
