The Optima O Sole Mio has a magnificent orange auroloide barrel combined with a humble black resin cap. All metallic parts of the pen are gold coated, with the exception of the nib that is made of solid 14kt yellow gold.

This pen utilizes the well - known Aurora piston filling system, has a discrete slit that allows the user view into the ink tank and has a screw on cap.
